Hitachi V700 Review
The Hitachi V700 is a very well put together monitor. I am very happy with it.
Design:
It is beige. There are four buttons on it. Two arrow buttons, one menu/select button, and the power button. The menus are set up in a simple circle. You have the typical horizontal and vertical arrangements, and also various geometry controls and color temperature controls.
Quality:
The monitor has pretty good quality. There is a slight curve to it that may be distracting to some. The one I got has one dead pixel near the top. I don't know exactly what to call it, but there is a small black dot that is always there. Besides that, colors seem accurate.
It has a max resolution of 1280x1024 at 60hz. While the refresh rate isn't that great, the resolution is average for a 17" monitor.
Conclusion:
This is a very good monitor, if the curve doesn't bother you. Also, the drivers for it are on floppy disks. If you don't have a floppy drive, you may want to make sure that there are drivers on the website.
I picked this up for $100, and it is probably even cheaper now.
