Half Life 2 Deathmatch and SoftTH

Half Life 2 Deathmatch is the multiplayer version of Half Life 2. It's one of the more oldschool feeling FPS multiplayer games out there today, which means the matches are fast paced and over the top. Nothing like using a gravity gun to smash someone with a flaming barrel.

Framerates with a GeForce 8800GT primary and a Geforce 7600GT Secondary were excellent. I was able to get 50+ FPS on most maps with the resolution set to 3840x1280

Setup Instructions

Setting up SoftTH with Half Life 2 is quite simple.

All you need to do is copy files from the zip file to the "Steam\SteamApps\[username]\half-life 2 deathmatch". You'll need to adjust the secondary screen resolutions to force it to work in the config file. Once that is done, run the game, and select options. From there, pick the video settings, and set it to run at widescreen 16:9 mode, and pick the resolution that you'd like to run from there.
