Windows 7 – Open Command Window Here

If you do a lot of work from the command prompt, it can be annoying having to type in the full path of the directory you want to go to every time you open a prompt. With older versions of Windows, you could run a registry hack to add the option of opening a command prompt on the right click menu.

With Windows 7, the functionality is built-in and enabled by default. All you have to do, is to shift-right click on the directory that you want to open a command prompt in, and click on “Open Command Window Here”.
